How old do you have to be?

How old should you be to have a tattoo?

Answer #1

Shae, I believe 21 is a mature enough age for such a decision, not before that. so as not to regret it later on, at 21 you are more mature regarding your own body and the permanent marks on it.

some would say it makes you look cheap or slutty depending on location of the tattoo, I just think wait till your mature enough before you decide, your still young dont rush into anything permanent. you might meet a guy you really really like and want, but he might hate tattoos on such locations of your body… who knows… just think twice about it.

I know you gonna say “whoever doesnt accept me the way I am, im not interested in” I just say think twice that is all. Remember it IS permanent.U dont need lazer removal marks later on your body.

good luck with what you decide :)

18… and I think that makes sense… if it something you want badly enough, then what’s the big deal in waiting till you’re 18? I mean it’s going to be around for the rest of your life… (oh and yes, I did get one when I turned 18, I figured 4 years was long enough to know I wasnt going to regret it)

if you are 16 and one of your parents take you they can sign a waver so you can get one. but other then that, you must be 18!
