How often should my inside cat eat?

He is about 8 months old now and I feed him healthy hard food (about half a cup) and I give him really yummy and expensive canned food daily (he only gets one scoop for breakfast and one scoop around 5-6pm for dinner) Im pretty sure im not over feeding him or underfeeding him, I would just like to hear your opinion on it though. Thank you :-)

Thank you for the advice. Hes not to skinny, if anything his belly has a little pooch :) lol.

Just look at him…is he too thin? Too fat? Just right? That’s the best judge. You should not be able to see his hip bones, but when you pet his sides you should be able to feel his ribs (tho not be able to see them when you’re just looking at him). If he passes the test, then you’re doing good for him.
