how often should I defrag my laptop?

im not really sure how often to defrag it, and is there a way to do it quickly as my computer takes hours(its a very slow laptop) Thanks :)

In all honesty you don’t really see a noticeable difference in the defragment of your computer unless you wait about 6 month before doing so but I tend to defrag my computer around once a month and that is more then often enough

it depends on a few things. what kind of specs does it have like cpu and hard drive space. also how often do you add and delete files. if you are on it a lot and use the internet kind of often then like pattycake said at least once a week is good. if you rarely use it for anything once every couple weeks or month would be efficient.

I do mine at least once a week. I also clean the C drive (the icon that says disk cleanup.
