How is rust useful?

Can you explain to me how rust is useful in our lives, like to the soil and other reasons please. (:

Answer #1

its not really useful as for as I know to people . Rust is just the stable form of iron ( oxidized), kept from reacting with other elements. When other organisms require it for energy they perform a series of reductions on it to get back pure iron.

When other metals get oxidized they form a thin protective layer ( rust in any other name) that protects the rest of the metal. Iron however rusts straight throughout and loses usefulness to humans

Answer #2

What kinds of minerals ?

Answer #3

Well I know it can add minerals to the soil that helps them I guess it would depend on what’s rusting.
