How does a girl sing(scream?) scremo?

Okayy, so my friend Dahniee and I are going to do a song together. The song I want to do, has some scremo parts in it. She loves scremo, so she volunteered to do that for me, since I would never be able to do that, since I sing for choirs and cant risk hurting my voice. So how does a girl sing(sream?) screamo? The song we are going to do is My Heroine by Silverstein. It has an acoustic version, but I think it sounds better with scremo. She really wants to learn, so can you help?

practice screaming with a scary monster voice and if people DON’T think you are possessed or something then you’re NOT doing it right.

Just practice,practice makes perfect,rite? listen so some screamo songs sang by girls && sing like them but dont scream so much or u’ll loose your voice but its an acoustic version you dont need to scream much ~~

Yeahh the acoustic version is only if she cannot do it, and she can do it,bit still soounds kinda bad, she said she’ll do it since shes not a quitter lol..and she only has lass then 2months to learn

It’s not hard, drink plenty of water before, during and after practicing so as not to hurt your voice and just experiment, I’m pretty much self taught, except I don’t have much of a ‘screamo’ voice anymore, I prefer deeper growls. 2 months should be enough time. It’s no different then a guy screaming really. There are plenty of tutorials I’ve heard about online that should be able to help with specific techniques.
