How do you make it in the music industry?

I have no idea how to start. If anyone could explain even a bit of how the whole thing works I’d appreciate it a lot =)

well first you have to make yourself known. play at some gigs. If people like you then try and get an appointment with a record company. If they like you they might give you a record label.
