How do you know if your dog's pregnant?

if she starts making a comfty bed and she might start gathering her toys I know the toy one might sound stupid but when my dog was pregnant she had nearly all the toys she could… her tummy might become firmer and her nipples might get bigger my dogs nipples got bigger the last week she might change her mood she might be really quiet and wants to sleep all the time just leave her.. her appetiate might change too dont force her to eat because it might cause a lil bit of stress hope it helped!!! my dog had 9 puppies labradors they were lush !

The size of the abdomen does increase, but how much will depend on the breed and how many puppies the dog is carrying. Unless the abdomen is dramatically bigger, firmness is the better sign. 5- Feel the abdomen. Any movement felt in the abdomen is a sure sign the dog is pregnant. 6- Pay attention to whether she begins nesting. My lab was slender looking until the last 3 weeks. Then the puppies moved towards the back and she looked huge. The last week her nipples dropped and they got full. She had 9 puppies.
