How do you get rid of frizzy hair?

I hate my hair..it gets so frizzy..how do you get rid of frizzy hair?

First, you have to moisurize the hair. STOP USING SHAMPOO! There is an ingredient in most shampoos (including “moisturizing” shampoos), called sulfates (they’ll probably show up as sodium laureth sulfate or ammonium laurly sulfate). They provide the lather in the shampoo (because people associate ‘lather’ with ‘clean’) but all it does is dry out your hair. it shouldn’t be hard to find on the shampoo label…it’s almost always the second ingredient. So spend money on a good quality shampoo that contains no sulfates, or skip shampoo all together. You’re probably wondering how you can clean your hair without shampoo. Vigorous (but not harsh!) scrubbing has been proven to clean your hair just as well.

Okay, enough about sulfates, let’s get on to moisturizing. Buy a quality conditioner that will moisturize your hair. Brush your hair BEFORE going into the shower and wash your hair and do all you need to in the shower. When you come out, be careful NOT TO TOUCH YOUR HAIR! And no brushing!! When you get dressed, be really careful not to handle your hair at all. And I mean no handling! Drape a towel under your hair to protect your shoulders from getting soaked, but swing you head to the side so you can put the towel on your shoulders. Don’t disturb it!

Once you get dressed, gently and lightly finger some anti-frizz product into your hair. I recommend John Frieda anti-frizz products. And here’s my personal beauty tip: dip your fingers in coconut oil and run through your hair. It tames all frizz and moisturize! You can also put liquified coconut/olive oil in your hair while you’re in the shower and rinse well.

Now, just leave it alone and let it air dry. And, again, no brushing or combing!

Good luck!

okay, don’t stop shampooing your hair, thats gross, your hair will be dirty. You can find good shampoos that will help keep the smoothness, like biolage smoothing shampoo, paul mitchell also has one. Then use either Redken Glass 01, Matrix smoothing serum or paul mitchells super skinny hair. Then straighten it, and it’ll be shiny CLEAN and straight and if you have curly hair, use a good gel and the smoothing serums and shampoo for curly hair and your problems should be solved :)

I have used EVERY thing on my hair and nothing seems to work. All my frinds say that Olive Oil works wonders on frizzy unruly hair like mine. I really hate not having to wash it everyday because I take gym in my highschool. So I use John Frieda. It makes my hair less poofy and managable. I like using Vitiam B liquid pills. I just break 3-5 pills in a small bowl and dip my fingers then run them down my hair from root to ends and it makes it less poofy and more mosturiezed. But I hate having to spend all that money on Vitaim pills they are quite expensive, CAN ANY ONE HELP ME??
