Tell your brother to try different acne products. People have different skin so just because one product might work for someone doesn’t mean it will work for another.

Products with salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide seem to work for some people. You can find them in drugstores for a good price. Just remember acne can’t be cured but it can be controlled.

If nothing seems to work for him, tell him to visit a dermatologist. The doctor might prescribe something like Retin-a or another topical acne treatment that could work. If it’s very very serious, then the doctor may prescribe Accutane which usually gets good results but has many side effects and patients usually have a difficult time going through it.

Finally, just keep experimenting, keep hydrated, and don’t irritate the skin. So no picking, touching, and applying comedogenic ingredients to acne (although since he is a boy, he shouldn’t have a problem with the latter).

I can tell you that I have had acne problems for a long time and I just started something a couple of weeks ago thats helping a lot. I am clearer than I have been in a long time and it hasn’t even been 3 weeks yet.
