How do I start making money from writing songs?

I want to start writeing music for music artst but I dont know how to get in to the indistry. I’ve been writeing for 12 years and I think I have what it takes to make the hits and make some real money. if anyone can help me I would love you for life. FISHO3000

It’s not an easy industry to get into. There’s so much competition and you usually have to know someone personally. But having said that, you can also start small and locally. There’s no direct path, just a lot of hard work in many areas. If you’ve written songs, find a local singer to perform them at small events, even a video on youtube, as small as it sounds, gets you out there and establishes a fan base.
