How do I sew clipin hair extensions?

I just got all the supplies to make hair extension clips.

I bought hair, clips, a needle, and the “wig thread”, But I have no idea how to sew hair to the clips!

I have searched the internet and cant find anything! Any suggestions?

lol I third the girls who are sittin here with all the supplies and nothin on the net on how to do it. I do know the “fingers” should be closest to your slap when you put them in so when you’re sewin it on they should be furthest away from your head

Answer #2

I would try melting or glueing the hair on to the clips I would probably use a glue gun it would be easier to work with. If this fails I suggest you return all of the stuff and get already made clip in extensions. Oceana has really good natural human hair ones that are $30 per section you would probably only need 2

I do not have an answer but I thought it funny. I am sitting in front of my computer with all of the same supplies and in search for some help. I hope someone can give us a clue how to do this.

Answer #4

First you need to make partings in your hair and measure how long you need the wefts to be for each section.

The average is about 5 partings across the back of your head and about 3 on each side.

After that you need to sew 3-4 clips on to each of the back pieces, making sure that you don’t have hair extending over the edges of the end clips, and usually the clips for the sides are fairly small and only require 1 clip each.

Good luck and have fun!!

Answer #5

on the weft (hair) there is a thick black thread that the hair is sewn onto. Take the needle and thread and just thread the clips onto that thick black part through the holes on the clips should be 2-3 small holes on the end of the hair clips.

Answer #6

man I I got all the same supplys an no clue lol

Answer #7

Can anyone tell me which way the clip should be facing when it’s sewn on? Should the “fingers” side be closest to the hair band or facing you? Truly a huge pain to sew the clips on. I never would’ve bought this kind if I had seen that’s what you need to do before I got it home!

Answer #8

I just bought some today and same thing is happening LOL..oh darn.

Answer #9

Hot glue would be a waste of your time and money, not to mention its not going to stay put. If you’re buying the supplies individually…hair and clips…the best thing to do is sew the clips to the track on the top holes. The track should be on the top of the clip. That way when you clip it in the hair is on top and you don”t see the clip. Good Luck!

Answer #10

the same thing is happening to me! I just got all the supplies for christmas and I have been searching for a week on how to sew them together!

Answer #11

I hate sewing them in. I just use hot glue.

Answer #12

I wear hair extentions all the time I have had them sewn in and it tore my hjair out so I have gone back to the clip in extentions it is very hard and time consuming to sew them in yourself , I know you probably spent quiet a bit of money especially if its human hair. If you go to a african american place they can do it for you but trust me it kills and you are there for hours but I am currently looking for different solutions on how to do this the right way and a cheaper way…It is very hard when you are dealing with your hair and want it longer trust me its my passion
