How do I locate my adopted brother?

well, my mom had a son when she was young and gave him up for adoption. and then she had me a year later and kept me. I’ve wanted to meet him or @ least talk to him over email for a long time but I don’t know how to get a hold of him. my mom and his adoptive parents weren’t aloud to use real names for saftery reasons so they went by the names Zelmo, stacey and pete. his name was christopher but I don’t know if they changed it or not. my mom said if I wanted to I could contact social services and have them try to find them and we could send letters to my brother through S.S. but I don’t know how to contact them either!! and even if I did what would I say “hey my brother was adopted by someone 14 or 15 years ago, uuhhh, his name was chris I don’t know his last name… I have no info or anything on him but I would like to talk to him can you give him a letter for me?” does nayone know how I could contact him?!

Hi,

Your mother should know the adoption agency he was given to. If not, contact Social Services (ask her to help you) with her name, and maybe they can track it from her—not him.

Good luck.
