You need to have internet service, as well as a router or other means to provide a 10baseT connection to your xbox. Then, you need to sign up for xbox live. Finally, you have to set up your user name and password on your xbox’s xbox live menu.

you go out to a game store or walmart and buy a 1yr membership. It gives you one full yr of xbox live. The internet part is pretty easy.. you just take your ethernet cable out of your computer and plug it in to your xbox. And thats it.
