How do I get my two sims to fall in love?

I have sims 3 on my ipod touch, and am at the ‘Best Friend’ stage with someone, how can I make them fall in love? I keep flirting and complimenting them, but nothing seems to work, I have been trying for ages, any help? x

just do the actions with tbhe lightning bolts next to them.
