how do I get my friend to ask me out? tips on convos needed aswell

ok,im 13 and I’ve had this friend that I’ve known for a while whos also 13…lets call him jacob…I’ve liked jacob for about 4/5 months but was always too afraid to say anything about it. now,I know you probly think that im crazy for not asking a guy out for 5/4 months,but I was always just too afraid to find out that he might not like me,or it would ruin our friendship or something.BUT,I eventually gain up the courage to get my best friend,who also liked jacob but was such a good friend that she would do it anyway,to tell jacob that I liked him and ask him if he likes me back.my best friend got the info I needed,but couldnt tell due to the fact that jacob made her swear not to (but of course you probly know that it means he likes me) but jacob apparently needed advice from one of his guy friends on what to do,so he asked his friend,lets call him kaleb,on advice on how to ask me out. kaleb gave him some tips and advice,but apparently isnt a very good secret keeper,and already told me everything,like how jacob is going to ask me out and such.now I got all pummped/excited/nervous about this,and by now,pretty much everyone already knows that we like eacher,including me and jacob.he knows that I know that hes going to ask me out,and I know that he knows that I like him (confusing,yes)but the problem is,he hasnt asked me out yet. im thinking that hes either waiting just for the right time,or maby hes too shy and is having trouble gaining up the courage to ask… hes not really that shy,considering hes an actor,but probly just nervous. so,my question is…

how do I,for say, ‘secretely’ help him into asking me out? im wayyy too shy to do it myself,so its outta the question.I have -.13% courage. also,what kind of ‘hints’ should I drop? even though we already know we like eachother,its still good to drop hints every once in a while… and one more thing…I could use some good tips on how to start conversations,I was never good with that <.<
