How do I get a job on The Sims Urbz (GBA)?

I’m not that far into this game yet & am already stuck. Does anyone know how I play the Hoopz game in Miniopolis/Urbania Park. I’ve managed to complete all other tasks but all I seem to be doing now is walking around in circles, eating, sleeping, showering & talking etc. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

um.. what do you mean?? you go to the police station and go left all the way until you see a hoop on the wall go up the stairs and you will see a giant money sign, go up to it and press a the directions for the game are there.
