How do I find my hamster?!?!?

okay, the last time I saw it was when I attatched its waterbottle to its cage after refilling it,and im pretty sure I didnt leave the cage door open(you dont need to open it to affix the bottle again.) however,my sister pointed it out to me at like 4pm that she was missing.and NO,my sister didnt take her.we’ve torn up the downstairs of my house trying to find my poor little Nicolette, but I cant find my furry rodent:(. I reallly dont know what to do…I dont know how ill tell my mom,how should I find it? help would be appreciated thanx (sorry this is so long!)

I’m pretty sure he’ll turn up. I used to have pet guinea pigs who regularly escaped. They used to disappear for a few days, hiding out in the house. Then they’d get hungry because there wasn’t any food around and generally head towards the kitchen area. Try behind the fridge and oven ;)

Answer #2

leave some of it’s favourate treats out on the floor in every room. apple bits, etc. leave it a while, come back and check them all, the one that has been eaten a bit is the room you have to look in.

Answer #3

You should look under couches if you have any. My guinnea pig got out once and it was under the couch. you should look under: couches, tables, chairs, toys, anything that has a opening that it can get under.

oh jeeze umm…hmm hamster calls? well make sure there is no open doors or windows and search one room at a time and make sure to close all doors and be very quite

Answer #5

Did you completely check the cage? Or if you have an opening in the wall it may be up there (mine lived in the loft for about 2 months because he got out and refused to get caught by the humane traps, he kept going in to get the food and get out again. You could try on eof those with food and water. It may be in a cupboard in the kitchen, anywhere warm or dark or quiet. Basically its finding a needle in a haystack. But it is possible. Double check the cage again. Good luck. I hope you find her =)
