How can I start to like her?

I’ve been friends with this one girl for 2 years, and right now she’s my best friend. We went out pretty soon after we met, but that didnt turn out so well (she ended it, I found out she liked my best friend soon after). Anyway, a few days ago she told me she’s liked me for about 3 months. I was absalutely devastated for a while after we broke up, but I got over her eventually. Now, as much as I want to like her again, I just don’t. She’s been the most loyal friend I had for like a year and she makes me smaile and shares all my intersets, but I can’t seem to get a spark going. I wish I could like her but something is making me not, I guess. I hate seeing her in such emotional pain (she REALLY likes me) but I dont know what to do about it. She’s not exactly the most beautiful girl in the world, but not bad either. Could it be that I’m so shallow I only go for looks? I really hope not… please help, for her sake.

oh I thought of something if you really want to like her try making a list of all the good things about her, good hair, nice person ect. but I still think my first advice is better

harmonylola is right. you can’t “make yourself” like someone, nor can you make someone else like you. it’s impossible. too bad for her.

you cant force yourself to like any one, thats not fair to you. and your a boy no duh your going to care about what she looks like. and she broke up with you before if you go back to her now you’ll be her substitute forever…
