How can I password lock a Macintosh notebook?

my sister is in college and her roommate uses her computer without her permission.. she asked me if I knew how to lock her computer so only she can log into it but I have nooo clue. could someone explain to me how? thanks erind_303

Go to preferences menu by clicking the apple icon, look for general pref. and add users name with icons, make the password hard to break but easy enough for her to remember.
