How can I make sure I don't have my period on prom?

I just calculated when I would have my next period, and it’s right on the day of prom. My periods are horrible! On the first day of my last period, I was actually screaming from the pain and I got a fever. I also felt nauseous. There is no way I could function at prom if I get my period! Is there a way of postponing it, possibly without using birth control? thanks!

my prom is april 9th and I get my period april 8th…I was just going to post a question like this haha…I thought I was the only one with bad periods like that you are not the only one girl!!

No, apart from birth control nothing can magically make your period go away. Other than screwing up your health (which could kill you), birth control is the only option.

It can also make your period lighter and less painful. However, you first need to ask if the birth control you got on can be used to skip periods and if so, you need to be taking it for at least a month so it can start working and can also stop your period for that month.

my period started on the day of my prom last year I was so pissed

try using feminax they really do work you wont feel any pain
