How can I get rid of toenail fungi??

I have this toenail fungi on my two big toe nails the fungi turnes them yellow and thick, I have this oregonol stuff (oil of oregano) to put on it and also eat some, but I heard that tea tree milk/oil (I forget what its called) works too, please tell me how to get rid of it without having it cut off
