How bad do foot tattoos hurt?

I have rosary beads around my ankle with the cross on the top of my foot. Due to the thin nature of your skin on the top of your foot your nerves are ment to make you twitch, often making it sorer. However I did not experiance this and the needle makes the area numb once you get used to the feeling. Although it is sore if you are getting something around the back of your ankle. BUT as with anything if you want it bad enough you’ll just put up with it! The tattoo will also hurt if the design is intricate because a thinner needle is needed, more bold designs somethines look as if the may have been more painful but it is usually the smaller more intricate designs.

I know people who are covered in tattoos and they about DIED getting them on their feet. I have heard it refered to as hurting as bad as the fires of hell.

Seriously..its a BAD, BAD, BAD area to get tattooed. Not just during the process but also during the healing time. You cant just cover it with a sock and shoe.

I dont suggest getting it done during the winter. Wait for summer so you can wear flip flops or something while it heals. I have also heard they take longer to heal there too.

if it is in the middle of your foot, because, you never put any weight what so ever there, if it on the base of your foot (spots where you put weight on) it shouldnt hurt what so ever because it is just a thick piece of skin

Oh honey let me tell ya, they hurt really bad!! However, months later it looks super cute with your flip flops:)
