How about those who are not christian?

In christianity jesus is the only way to heaven, does it mean that anyone who is not christian will go to hell?

Answer #1

The Bible makes it clear there is a Heaven and a Hell - also makes it clear that anyone who accepts Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, has their sins forgiven and have an eternal home in Heaven.

Answer #2

The great majority of Christians do respect other beliefs…

That’s pretty optimistic… you could do a survey…

Answer #3

I think people will be judged according to how they lived their lives, and if they are aware of the plan of salvation, thru Jesus Christ, or not.

If they are aware, and have chosen to reject his sacrifice, then, I would not want to change places with them.

If they are unaware, then, I think mercy will be shown them.

Answer #4

I beleive that if chistians what any respect in what they beleive in they need to respect other people for there beleifs first because without respect theyll get none in return

The great majority of Christians do respect other beliefs…like all things, all it takes is a few bad apples…

Answer #5

God is one. We all just worship him in different ways. I think that what determines whether you go to hell or not is the kind of person that you were on earth,if you made an effort to become a better person and the time you sacrificed to make a difference in the life of others.

Answer #6

Christians are the one’s who think that there is a heaven and hell. There are million of other relgions out there, so to say that someone would go to the Christian hell, if they don’t believe in Jesus and God, is ridiculous.

Answer #7

There are many parts of the Bible that support the idea of universal salvation, and interestingly, there isn’t a single passage that says non-Christians go to hell.

Many Christian denominations teach universal salvation for this reason.

Answer #8

“there are no other religions out there that speak of love without a price”

You’re wrong. Buddhism offers unconditional love and sacrifice for fellow man

Answer #9

Those who are not christian see things a little differently.

You cannot put the fear of hell into someone who does not believe hell exists.

Answer #10

*[“In christianity Jesus is the only way to heaven, does it mean that anyone who is not christian will go to hell?”]

*The Word of God is very clear about who the only way to heaven is. It declares that anyone who does not accept the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour will die in their sins and perish in Hell:

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door: by me, if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and have pasture” [John 10:7-9]…and again “I said before unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins” [John 8:24].

“The great majority of Christians do respect other beliefs…like all things, all it takes is a few bad apples…”

phrannie, where are you getting this from? Do the majority of chrisitains respect the beliefs of atheists? I have found very few who truly respect my views. Ask the next chrisitian you meet if they would vote for an athiest as president. That will tell you how much respect they have.

Answer #12

“If they are aware, and have chosen to reject his sacrifice, then, I would not want to change places with them.

If they are unaware, then, I think mercy will be shown them. “

Define aware? Just because you and others believe in something as unknowable as a diety, does not mean others are aware that a god actually exists. I am aware of what christianity teaches (probably more than you), but that makes me know more “aware” of the existence of god than the existence of the tooth fairy.

Answer #13

I’m one of Jehovah’s witnesses and I don’t believe in going to heaven or hell but for a resurrection on earth…but anyways, our religion teaches that if you never had a chance to learn about god, then you can’t be punished for that because its just stupid. Everyone will be resurrected after armageddon, unless you rejected god after learning about him and stuff like that. But every religion is different and you have to accept that some people believe different than you do.

Answer #14

These are tough questions for to ask but know that someone is in charge - ask this question “who created this planet and everything on it? who created the stars? there is something greater - seek and you will find you are here for a reason even non-christians have to wonder nothing happens without a plan God is big enough to handle it don’t put him in a box there are no other religions out there that speak of love without a price salvation is a free gift Jesus died so you could have a personal relationship with God he did it because of sin Jesus died, paid the price for sin God is holy this is faith can’t see it feel it or smell it it just is God loves you he is the same as he was yesterday today and tomorrow

Answer #15

only if you beleive in the chrsitian “god” there are many, many other kinds of gods if you dont beleive in a reluigion, like myself, then you simply dont care what christains think or do or preach about because it doesnt affect us, and we dont beleive in it and we cant be forced into a place we dont beleive in I beleive that if chistians what any respect in what they beleive in they need to respect other people for there beleifs first because without respect theyll get none in return

Answer #16

In christianity jesus is the only way to heaven, does it mean that anyone who is not christian will go to hell?

If that were the case, then there’d be a LOT of innocent bystanders who’d go to hell just because Christianity isn’t part of their culture, or was never brought into their lands. Is that fair?

Well God says that the only sin that you can commit that is unforgivable is the sin of rejecting Jesus Christ as you Lord and Savior.

…it says three different times, that ‘blaspemy againt the Holy Spirit’, is the only unforgivable sin.

[MATTHEW 12:31-32], [MARK 3:29], [LUKE 12:10]

Answer #17

Only certain fundemental type religions actually have the arrogance to PREACH that if you haven’t taken Jesus as your savior, you’ll go to hell…

That’s always seemed a little much, to me…there are far more people in the world who are not interested in Jesus… they have their own “prophet”…they believe God, but someone else led them there…

I don’t think God cares who got them there.

Answer #18

Answer #19

you hope so jester…you hope so.

Answer #20

Well God says that the only sin that you can commit that is unforgivable is the sin of rejecting Jesus Christ as you Lord and Savior. If you accept him, all your sins will be forgiven, if you don’t, they are not and the punishment is to spend eternity in hell.

Answer #21

“there are no other religions out there that speak of love without a price”

love is without a price…every religion gives out love… christianity isnt the only religion out there…

as for hell… meh I wont accept JC as my saviour…even if it means hell etc. etc. wherever im going when I die will be a great place because ill have all my friends there…

Answer #22

Christianity does appear to be an exclusinve religion, even though Christians will tell you this is not true. Bear in mind that Christianity is sub-divided into many religious expressions, and not all are exclusive. Religious expression in any form is a matter of faith. The question is what do YOU believe? Religion may not hold the answer you are looking for. I believe each of us has a personal reponsability to understand the special relationship we have with GOD. I believe that GOD - the epitomy - of LOVE, did in fact create us in his/her image. AS such, we are not here to judege others but rather to learn how to live together in a loving state of being. Spirtuality as I define it is “the relationship we humans have with GOD, each other, and all of creation.” I invite you to access this web site: www.assacademy.org There you will find a creed which may be of assistance to you as you search for meaning and continue to grow your Spiritual nature. Be Blessed, knowing You are surrounded in LOVE. Servitor

Answer #23

As is generally assumed Jesus Christ is not the founder of Christianity as Buddha is the founder of Buddhism. The religion was named Christianity after Jesus Christ. That religion existed around 4000 years before Jesus came as a man to this word.

God created a world. He gave his people certain rules to abide by certain doctrines to follow. When people deviated from these doctrines and the created and started believing their own ideas all other religions. Now don’t jump at me as thought I am the one who invented this idea. This is what people who have researched into the history of religions had to say. None of the religions of today dates back to before 3000 BC.

Jesus is God. Anyone who believes in Jesus will be saved. Anyone who does not believe in his has already been judged to hell.
