Hewlett Packard hook up question

ok.. this is probably going to sound extremely stupid to most people, but.. I recently bought a tower for my computer.. its a used hewlett packard if that matters.. well.. it came with no cords or cables .. can anyone help me out by telling me what cords and cables I’ll need to set this tower up with a new monitor?.. I don’t want to use the cords and cables that are attached to my current tower because I’d like to have 2 computers set up (in different rooms)

Use your old computer as a rough guide. May use the same keyboard, monitor, power and telephone or broadband cables. get a bunch of USB 2.0 cables for printers, scanners, hard drives etc. Get a powered usb hub for best results. Firewire cables (if you have it) let you hook up camcorders, older iPods etc. Hope this helps. Joe
