Help, very sore throat

I’ve had a sore, burning and stinging feeling in my throat since Sunday and tried taking loads of warm food and drink but it just seems to be making it worse. It also hurts when I cough and yawn. I haven’t really eaten much since Sunday and the only thing I can eat is ice cream and drink milk cause they’re cool enough to cool my throat down and make it feel better for a short while. I don’t smoke or anything but always around people that do :-(

Really glad that you don’t smoke, you definitely have some kind of infection /inlammation in your throat. If it isn’tgetting better with the TLC you are giving it, then it is time to see the doctor and get her help. Drink lots of water and take tylenol for the aches and fever yntil you see the doc. Good luck and get well soon.

Answer #2

If you’re not hungry then don’t eat. If you do eat, avoid sugar since it’ll just feed the infection. Make sure you drink enough water. You could try baking garlic and eating that; it’ll get soft like a potato. Just cut the bottom off a bulb, exposing a bunch of cut cloves. Douse the exposed area with olive oil, season if you want, cover in foil then bake at 300 for about an hour. Garlic helps all kinds of problems and a clove is small so hopefully you can handle it.
