What is HCAP?
Im not sure if its how its spells but i have heard it many times in the hospitals and not sure what it means?
You mean hickup? Like sounding from your chest out of your mouth in ever 30 seconds or so? There is no certain proof of the cause. But I was told that it was a kind of early sign that our body needs more oxygen, so you can either take few deep breath or take a glass of fresh water.
no not hickup its h -cap it sounds like u would say age cap but i dont know how it spells :S
I have heard it too, I forgot what it stands for. Maybe some common treatment or something to stabilize a patient. I maybe wrong.
This is probably a health care related acronym, however, HCAP has several such meanings, dependent upon geographical region and the type of health care service being accessed.
Your profile does not give your location so it is difficult to give a helpful answer, but here are some possibilities: . (a) Healthcare-Associated Pneumonia http://funadvice.com/r/14u63ah2jhb ; . (b) Hospital Care Assistance Program; . (c) Health Care Action Plan; . But if you have only “heard it” and are “ not sure if its how its spells “ it becomes much more difficult to suggest other possibilities but, for example ….. . ACAT = “Automated Computerized Axial Tomography”; as well as “Aged Care Assessment Team”; and . ACAP = “Aged Care Assessment Program”; as well as “American Council on Alcohol Problems”; and “AIDS/HIV Care Access Project”. . If you have been accompanying/ visiting someone who is being treated for prostate cancer, it could even be Adeno-carcinoma of the Prostate. .

Your best option is just to ask what it means next time you hear it, rather than asking here amongst people who are not routinely using the term
yeah i cant wait to see the doctor to ask abt it but i know that person was going to have a surgery and the nurse said dont forget to get an hcap before you go to the hospital for surgery thats all i heard and i was just wondering what it means cuz its not the first time i hear it but thanx anyway.
