Washable hair dye?

I really would like to dye my hair a brown colour but my parents just won’t say yes. I have blonde hair and I’ve put a lot of thought into this. I’m ready. Any suggestions?

Answer #1

I begged and cried for my mom to let me dye my hair forever. Well im 17 now, old enough now where i can do what i want without her having to consent. I regret it…. Its good until it messes up and it will. Read some of the post on here…..everyones messes up

Answer #2

I say just go ahead and do it and if they don’t like it, then tough, its not their hair. If you really want this than just do it. i want to dye the tips of my hair pink and my mom wouldn’t let me but she comprimised with me and said i could do it during the summer after my graduation, so if you show them that you really want it then you can work out a comprimise.

Try a wig first and see if you like it, sometimes you may not! Or try those washable ones. If you really really really want to dye your hair, you could go for those temporary ones.

Hair Dye isnt really good and can cause cancer so i dont really recommend it, but everyone likes different things so, you know…

Answer #4

What would your parents do if you just went ahead and did it? But what is your bug reasoning for doing it? I would just do it…..Its your hair and you can always change it back!

Answer #5

Clairol makes a really cool foam mousse to temporarily dye your hair. the color washes out in 8-10 hair washes. I recommend doing this first to make sure you like brown hair on you. If you have blonde hair, id take it as a blessing and just stay blond

Answer #6

If you’re parent definately will not let you, there’s nothing you can do. Just let them know how bad you want to do it. If that does’nt work you’ll just have to wait until you’re old enough to do it without their permission.

Answer #7

I would suggest you talk to your parents about dying it brown and explain your reasons. Maybe that will help convince them. Dye’s are not very good for hair so I wouldn’t suggest dying it.

Answer #8

Let your parents know that your old enough to know what you want for yourself and your responsible enough to live with a bad colour if you end up disliking your new hair. If they still won’t reason, suggest a temporary colour. Maybe if you wear a washable one for a couple weeks, your parents will actually like it and let you get permantent dye. Even if your parents were totally cool in the first place, it’s good to do this, cause if you have blonde hair and you dye it dark, whos to say you wont hate. Its good just to be sure, thats a pretty big switch.
