What would YOU like the hair dresser to spend more time on when you go to the salon?

I’m just wondering what your favorite part of going to the hairdressers is and what do you think we should spend more time on? I’ve started spending more time on the shampoo massaging and have found that my clients tend to be happier throughout the service. I was just hoping that you guys could tell me some other things that you as the public think that we as hairdressers could do better/spend more time on.

Not ripping my friggin hair out of my friggin head! I mean I feel like saying “ya its attatched you can stop trying to prove me wrong. And no its not a weave!” lol

Answer #2

ive only been to a hairdresser once, but a suggestion for what to talk more about would be how to maintain the colour/style at home. i think people are always wonedring how they can maintain there new hair and usually arnt given enough or any information on how to

Answer #3

I love everything really! I just really like people touching my hair for some reason. I think the very best part would be having it washed though, its so relaxing I could just go to sleep! Haha my mother actually did that once…

Answer #4

I am not fond of massages, so that definitely wouldnt be it. I feel like sometimes hairdressers are reluctant to tell you how to maintain your hair, or what products to use to keep it looking nice. Maybe it isnt part of their job?

Answer #5

I LOVE getting my hair shampooed. but what i dislike the most is when they cut my hair and hair tickles my face..oooh i cant stand that feeling haha

Answer #6

ok, all the hair dressers i’ve gone to have either talked on the phone the whole time or talked to the other dressers about their personal problems….i mean really? its like “i came here for a reason, get 2 it!!!”

Answer #7

Thanks heaps for your answer. We are definitely supposed to recommend retail to you guys! I don’t know why some hairdressers don’t though :/ It’s extra money for us, and you go home able to achieve the style you want lol

Answer #8

Just so you’re not just coming off as someone who is trying to sell products, maybe talk to the person about how they could style their hair and just ways to manage their particular cut? I am really bad at doing anything with my hair, so it would be helpful if someone gave me tips. I’d probably also be more likely to go back to the hairdresser if I felt she/he was concerned with making sure I could maintain my hair and not just what the hair looked like after a professional was done with it…

Answer #9

Absolutley everything well duh!

Answer #10

In my hair dresserr, they spend way too much time drying+fluffing and not enough time cutting it to a good shape (:

Answer #11

I am a hair stylist and thats a BIG part of our job u should find another sylist who accommidates all ur needs

Answer #12

im lucky…i have a very good hairdresser who listens to exactly what you want done and follows your instructions on what you want. she talks to the customer while doing the hair and doesnt just quietly cut away. if you live in the windsor area message me and i can give you the salon info!
