guns n' roses//what is serpantine?
okay,I was listening to ‘welcome to the jungle’ by guns n’ roses and I heard axl sing ‘my,my serpantine’.
what exactly is serpantine and what is the signifiance of it to this song?
I figure given the context of the song it must be something addctive or deadly either one..
anyways,help me please!
from the content of the lyrics- “serpantine” appears to be a phallic reference.
“welcome to the jungle- feel my, my, my serpantine- I, I want to hear you scream”
a jungle serpant ( snake) -python.
definitely an “ego engorged” phallic reference.

I agree with baldwinwolf…normally it would be a snake but in the song he’s definately talking about his “genitals”. I went to a Guns N’ Roses concert when I was younger and if you watch Axl you can definately tell that’s what he’s referring to…especially when he grabs himself as he’s singing those lyrics :)
