Basically I have found out that whenever I tried boot-up onto Windows, I get a blank screen with a flashing white dash in the upper left corner..and I can't do any type of demand .__. Any clue? Please... ;3
GRUB is a boot loader. It came with your Linux.
It will be active right after you switch te PC on. And then it will tell either the Linux or the Windows to start. It basically determins the partition of the hard disk that your copmuter starts from.
Obviously your GRUB was on "automatically start windows" before. Now it is not. There was possibly an update or something. And now it has got wrong settings.

If you have GRUB installed, its probably because you installed some form of Linux as a duel boot with Windows. If you choose the windows option and just get a blinking _ , then it can't find windows to boot from. It sometimes can be a simple fix, trying googling your issue and looking at forum post (http://funadvice.com/r/161db8fq2c6. Or you might how completely screwed up windows when installing Linux.

It came along with Linux and worked fine until just the other night .__.
GRUB is a boot loader ... it helps with loading the operating system.
