Gold leggings with black dress: yay or nay?

OK the dress is short, black, fringed, and sleeveless.
I have black cowboy boots good for dancing…

the gold leggings are REALLY gold, like Goldfinger dipped-in-molten-gold type gold. I feel like without them the outfit is dull… HOWEVER having the gold on just my legs seems kind of odd… (I’m a little pale up top)

I do have gold earrings, necklace and bangles already, and they help.

The event: a New Years party where the guys will be in semi formal dance wear, and it’s a country / western bar / club, where bling and skin is kind of the norm.

Should I ditch the superhero-esque tights (and if so, what color should I go for instead?), or should I let them shine?

Well everyone, I went with the gold tights, and they were a hit!

I had random people commenting on how they loved the outfit.

(And I had a great time! ;)
