Giving Birth
I am 20 weeks pregnant and I have been doing everything I can do to make sure this baby is healthy I eat everyday, I stopped smokin and drinkin, But I still fear that I will die during child birth. I have tried everything I can think of to try to chill out and not be so scared about this but nothin is working if anyone can help me I would really appriciate it. This is my first baby and I am scared of dying during child birth and never being able to meet my baby.
the mortality rates of child birth are very low in developed countries…trust me, they do EVERYTHING they can to ensure both mother and baby are safe pre and post birth..
well done for being such a consciencious mum to be!
being concerned is completly natural…seriously, if there’s something to worry about, you will…
no one can tell you not to worry, because you will, and only when you have had the baby will you realise…
but, regardless, I’m gunna say it - don’t worry…
you seem to have iradicated any complications that may have occured through your actions, and now your delving into the aspects which you can’t control and no matter what choices you make will alter the effects of labour and child birth… you have been a very good mum so far, you have done everything you can to make your baby as healthy as possible, don’t tarnish your pregnancy by worrying about issues that are A) out of your control and B) hopefully not going to be an issue (I believe in jinxing, so I’m not going to say anything conclusivlyt)
ok, not making much sense, basically, unless you have a medical reason, then you are going through a concern and worry EVERY nother feels, you are not alone…
enjoy your pregnancy, relax and by the time you get to your 9th month you’ll be begging for labour,,,you will be sooo uncomfortable (I think it’s mother natures way of making us look forward to labour, make the last months full of heartburn, a foot in the ribs and swollen ankles lol!! believe me, its all part of it and I have done it twice, and if I won the lottery I woulnd’t hesitate to do it again…
this is without a shadow of doubt one of the most ‘worrying’ times of your life, you’re so concerned with doing everything right, with so many ‘don’t do this’ and ‘don’t do that’ you don’t know which way to turn…
but know your body, do you feel well? have you got any real grounds for concern? both are unlikely…you have done everything you can so take comfort in that…
you’re having a little baby! just try to relax, enjoy your pregnancy and if you really can’t put it to the back of your mind speak to your midwife…they have so much info and are so supportive…
xxx good luck!
well stressing out is not going to help either is it just find out some information and then if there is anything you need just go to a doctor.
Well just make sure you go to the doctors ever now and then, and they’ll be able to give you an up date. Keep eating healthy, and just wait. Theres not much you can do for now other than be healthy.
try not to stress too much I have had 3 babies and each and every time I feared the same but dont miss out on the wonderful experiece of everyday your baby in your tummy. as long as you go to the doctor and dont miss appointments I am sure you will be fine. I had 3 csections and between all my kids I have had everything that could go wrong has and I am a proud mommy of 3 healthy kids. I found the unknown is always the scariest but just sit back enjoy your pregnancy and comunicate with your doctor. I hope this helps a little :)
