Giant knot

my sister has really long curly hair and she has let it get into one giant knot all the way too the root … Does anyone know of any really good products that you could get from a department store .? and the salon is not an option she and we are too embarrassed to take her … ITs that bad !!!please Help we have a shower to attend in 2 days

Detangler, helps a lot!! Just try to brush it out and gently pull the hair out of the knot little by little. Hope I helped (:
