What happens during an MRI?

Getting mri done want to know what happends when they do this because I had back surgery and they put metal in my back what will happend when they do the mri will it cause that to damage the metal in my back or discomfort

They most likely won’t give you the mri since 6,000lb magnets will rip the metal from your back unless its a unique alloy. Generally the alternative is a contrast mri. Much smaller machine and they inject you with a radioactive isotope. Depends on your doctor and your insurance.
