Getting two phone lines

I know this wasn’t your actual question but I’m throwing my 2 cents in. Feel free to ignore it if you like.

1. It is a very BAD idea to make a major purchase (and it doesn’t get bigger than buying a house for most people) with someone you are not married to. Anything could happen between now and the wedding and if something does, God forbid, that house is going to become a legal and/or credit nightmare for one or both of you.

2. Are you REALLY sure you want your mother-in-law living with you? Permanently?! I’m married myself and while my wife’s Mom is great, I would tear my hair out if she lived with us…and she doesn’t have phone sex as far as I know. =p

As far as your original question goes, have her get a cell phone in HER name and she can use that. You do NOT want her utilities mixed in with yours. If she doesn’t pay her cell phone bill, she’s the only one affected. If she doesn’t pay you or the phone company for her line on time every month, it’s going to create problems between either you and her or you and the phone company.
