Why do my friends and sisters make fun of my favourite celebrity Karen Gillan?

everyone has their own opinion on stuff, and so they might think “oh he’s so stupid” so they make fun of you. or, all the popular people might thik he is stupid so they act like them. Just ignore them, there is nothing wrong with liking something different from others

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion about things. Just because you like her and shes one of your favorites doesnt mean they have to feel the same way. Also, when someone picks on you and sees they are getting a reaction out of you they are more likely to continue to aggrivate you just for the fun of it - ignore them from now on and they’ll move on to something else when they get bored and see you dont care.

They are probably just having fun with you, people often show affection with teasing. You should tell them seriously that it upsets you.

It’s just that they like someone different, they think it’s lame if you like her because your different. But really it should not affect you that much, it’s their opinion, and you don’t need to change what you like and who you are, simply because someone else has a problem with it. If they make fun, then let them know it’s who you like that that’s that, be proud of it. I sometimes get made fun of because I listen to Demi Lovato or Miley Cyrus and stuff, which I really don’t care because everyone has their own taste in music, artist, and celebs, and you have your own,
