How to get a friend to like me back?

I agree with Jess. You can’t physically or emotionally get someone to like you back. It seems that your friend clearly cares about you and shows affection towards you - the hot coco situation. It sounds as if he may have feelings for you or could like you back. I think the best way forward is to simply ask him. Whether it be texting him or saying it to him face to face - it’s always the best option to find out if he likes you or not. Or if you find this too nerve-wracking then you could also just let things develop. You two obviously have a connection, just give it time and let your friendship blossom into something more. If you do ask him and he says yes - then that’s great! If he says he doesn’t like you in that way - don’t be too put down, you can still be good friends with him and there are plenty more awesome guys out there. I hope i’ve helped. Good luck :-) x

Be careful. This is a guy who took a date to a homecoming dance and then totally ignored her there, leaving her on her own, while he gave all his attention to and got physical with another girl (you).

That might make it ok IF she told him she didn’t want to be his date anymore, but you wrote, “at homecoming he had a date.”
