How many pounds of potatoes and carrots to feed 75 people
Just do some math. How many potatos/carrots are you going to eat, or the average person, and multiply that by 75, and probablt add on some because of those people who go back for 3rd and 4th servings...
One serving size is 4oz and 4oz is 1/4 of a pound. So .25 * 75 = 18.75 lbs.
It depends on your preference for the ratio of potatoes to carrots, if they are both going into the same side item.
Just think about it - get how many you'd normally buy for 4 people and buy that amount 19 times.
Go with roughly one potato per person and 2 carrots per person
