Flowery taste and smell

I get a flowery taste and smell sometimes and am not sure what it is. I heard that it could be diabetes so I got tested. I also bought a blood sugar monitor so I could test when I got the smell and taste. My sugar is always at the right range and the diabetes test came back negative.

Does anyone have any other ideas of what causes a flowery taste and smell. I have tried to research on the internet but have found nothing other than diabetes and like I said I don’t have that.
