Where can I find a chat room to ACTUALLY have REAL conversations?

I’m a loner and not really comfortable with the whole chat with a bazillion people at once. I’m looking for a site where I can enter my interests and actually meet people that actually share those interests and without having to pull out a credit card… being a loner I’m not comfortable with video/voice chat.

I doubt that is possible to meet genuine people that shares the same interests where you just type a profile listing your interest etc without actually chatting to them directly on a one-on- basis…. I think you are better off getting a pen pal. The only chat program I know of is yahoo messenger but to go into a chat room full of strangers and having “conversation” in the main room or private messaging with a complete stranger, would be the most pathetic and boring thing I could ever imagine and anyone who thinks they can form a friendship within these chat rooms needs their head examined.

Try omegle. You can’t do any personal information besides your interests unless you say it yourself. No profiles, no nothing. There are a lot, & I mean a lot, of weirdos on there but there’s also se really cool people.
