Feelings for someone else...

I had a date… it was at a school dance (homecoming) and over there my dates ex came… well they hadn’t seen each other in a while and my date/best friend (yes it’s a girl) started crying because she never got over the guy… well I feel horrible because I took a risk and asked her and now… well she said yes and she said she liked me but all of the evidence a I have points to a different direction. I love her and want to know whether I should let her go or pursue her even though she still has feelings for her ex.
