Why does it feel like air is being blown out the corner of my eye?

Answer #1

I have no idea, does not sound normal. I would go to an eye doctor and get it checked out, to be on the safe side and get it treated if needed.

Answer #2

I totally know what your talking about, I never figured out what it was. It never hurt me though and went away after a little while. If it hurts or becomes bothersome i’d say go get it checked out.

Answer #3

I know exactly what you mean. Although it only happens when I try to pop my ears and I try to blow my nose while i’m holding it. Air is being compressed so hard that it comes out your eyes. I don’t know if it is bad, but it tickles. If you experience it then I suggest chewing gum to release the pressure in your head. If that doesn’t work and you experience it regularly then I suggest going to a optometrist.

Answer #4

its nothing serious. one day i blew my nose and air came out of the corner of my eye. its all one open way there. i know this guy that suck chocolate milk up his nose and made it come out of his eye…thats how i know air wont hurt you

Answer #5

those are called tear ducts. normally the tear ducts are open allowing extra liquid from the eyes to drain into the nasal cavity. when you cry the tear ducts close and the liquid backs up and falls down your face in the form of tears. the sensation you are feeling is most likely built up pressure in the nasal cavity causing air to escape thru the tear ducts. ( Disclaimer. not all people can experience this sensation for what ever reason. holding your nose/mouth and blowing can cause burst blood vessels and blown ear drums and possibly worse. there for I do not support the act of trying to see if you can blow air thru your tear ducts)
