Put on a video / DVD that you like so much, you have watched it so many times that you almost know it off by heart. . Lie down and watch it for a couple of minutes then close your eyes and just listen to it (you remember all the images anyway). . Avoid very noisy action films or scary horror movies. Short comedy routines / sitcoms are probably best. . You will probably fall asleep within minutes. The more familiar you are with the programme the quicker it works - your mind just can't be bothered staying awake for all the stuff that it knows already.

i suppose you could try listening to more calming songs on your ipod before you fall asleep, & keep your volume low on your tv. if your still having a hard time falling asleep "really fast" perhaps read a book before going to bed?(..that always makes me tired!)
hit yourself on the back of the head......... no im just kidding dont hit yourself on tthe head but you can try some relaxation techniques
Put the tv on low, on a really boring channel, get comfy, clise your eyes & listen to the tv, always works for me.
