What can I do to help my face while in the shower?

I suffer from acne and when I go for a shower I don’t really do anything to my face. I will wait until I go to bed to wash it because that’s what I’ve always done but I’m a bit confused. Should I wash my face in the shower or after to try and help my spots. Should I exfoliate…I’m really not sure. Are there any other things I can do to help?

Thanks. :D

I have acne on my forehead and what I do is use a daily face wash in the shower, wash it off with warm water then rinse your face with cold water to tighten your pores.

Smash Aspirin, 1 Table spoon of water until turn to become pasty, and apply it on your pimples area only and cover it with bandage in about 8 minute only and rinse it with warm water. Aspirin has properties to kill bacteria to clear up your pimples-Salicylic Acid is helpful treating acne because of its ability to penetrate the follicle (on your face ) it helps shedding your dead cells on skin.

If your skin is oily type. try to use lemon ( fresh lemon and squish it ) juice and mix with 1 teaspoon water and apply it on your skin for 20 minutes only. It is natural, it removes dirt and oil on your ( bacteria ) then, wash it with warm water. Before you take a bath before you go to bed. Lemon juice also help your dark, dead skin caused of pimples to lighten up, remove bacteria on your skin. Or see your skin specialist to check that up, and ask for prescription pills ‘ DOXYCLINE 100 MG that could work for your skin. For my personal secret drink a lot of water, have a good sleep ( on time to go to bed ) avoid chocolate, smoking, drinking alcohol, away from fatty food….

Also consider CETAPHIL for Oily Skin Cleanser, ST. IVES FRESH SKIN - APRICOT SCRUB EXFOLIATING , OIL FREE. Maybe buy it in a trial sizes only And use it for a week if it is working for your skin before buying a huge bottle / jar in the future use. I am just sharing these products because my two teenagers has issues with acne on their foreheads and some part of the body. For my opinion these really works for them…

Cleansing or exfoliating is great in the shower! All the steam opens the pores in your skin and make it easier and better to work deep into your skin. You skin might be really dry afterwards though, so be sure you tone and moisturize after cleansing or exfoliating.
