Drawing eyeliner for single eyelid?

hey. I’ve never worn eyeliner before and I really want to start using it, but I don’t know how to put it on! some of my friends put on the inside of their eye, like below the lashes on the top and above them on the bottom. I’ve looked on the internet and it says you should put it on the outside of the lashes, so now I’m well confused! any help or tips would be really nice :)

Answer #1

On the bottom I put my eyeliner on the inside, because its so hard to do it underneath the lashes, and on the top I do it on the outside.

Answer #2

Puting on the inside makes your eyes smaller, not bigger. Check out some videos and magazines for makeup tips.

Answer #3

Well it depends on the person! Some people look better with it on the outside and some on the inside! Try both and see which looks better on you!:)

Answer #4

I put it on the inside (close to the white part of the eye) I think it looks better. Maybe youtube has videos that will show you how.

Answer #5

put it on the inside of your eye, unless you have really sensitive eyes, then put it on the outside of your lashes

Answer #6

I wear mine on the inside. I think it opens your eyes more, and looks more natural. Most professional make up artists would say to use it on the outside, but they have all the tools and experience to do it right. It’s too hard to draw a thin and straight enough line to make it work for you and not against you by making your eyes look smaller, rather than larger. Try this: Take your middle finger and grab your eyelid. Lift it up so that you can see the inner eyelid and where your lashes start. Look away from the pencil (so you don’t automatically keep closing your eyes) and make quick gentle strokes across the line of your lashes. Do the same for the bottom, if you want. Make sure the pencil is sharp enough that you don’t scratch your eye.

Answer #7

okay you should definetley put it on the outside of the lashes but a very thin line. a lot of people dont no this but putting eyelinner on inside is extremeley bad for your eyes. and can easily get into your eyes and burn. just take your time :)

hope this helps :)
