Do eyebrows grow back faster if you shave them or wax?

If I go get my eyebrows waxed, when they grow back, will they come in thicker and bushier or will I have to keep getting them plucked/waxed?

Answer #1

no, but if you get them plucked more than 10 times they will begin to thin out and a few years after that you wont have any more eyebrows, I’ve seen it happen to my mom. lol

Answer #2

lol I got a kick out of kinkygirl13’s reply. My mom lost her eyebrows too from over- waxxing. It doesn’t happen to EVERYONE ,but it is possible. I say the best thing to do, is get them waxed until you get them a certain “look” or thickness/thinness, and do that about 3 times, then just stick with the plucking. Plucking hurts, but we’re women, we can handle anything rawr! But If you need a little help, they make creams/liquid-sticks to numb the eyebrow while you pluck, sounds weird, but they work wonders! Just be sure to check on your inner elbow first or a thin skinned area like your hand to see if your allergic. Something that close to your eye would be bad if you were allergic = { Good luck!

Answer #3

it wont grow back thicker but will grow back and need to be done again.

Answer #4

no, nothing (shaving/waxing, ect) can change the legnth, thickness ect of your hair, anywere on your body nothing can change it it will grow back exactly the same as it usually does the myth about shaving is false too, it only looks different because the hair is cut on an angle, making it APEAR thicker

Answer #5

I don’t think they do, I have light brown brows, I have gotten them waxed off and on through out the years and I don’t think they get any bushier

Answer #6

im a beauty school student and shaving DOES make it grow back faster and thicker! in waxing you take the whole hair folicle out and in shaving you just take the top bit off that means theres still some hair beneath the skin it goes back will 2 or 3 hairs in that same folicle because you didnt take the whole hair out. even if you pluck it you will still have to keep plucking it but the more you pluck and wax the hair folicle gets thinner and will eventually have no hair to grow back. dont shave your eyebrows I made that mistake and never again
