Eye floaters / who got them

Do you have them and , do they go away?

Answer #1

Info: Most eye floaters decrease in size and darkness with time. Some of this is due to actual absorption of the floater through the natural processes within the eye. Eye floaters may also shift in position within the eye, resulting in less of a shadow effect. In addition, the nerves within the brain adapt to and often becomes used to the presence of eye floaters, ignoring them in a manner similar to your only noticing the feeling of shoes on your feet when you think about it. Eye floaters eventually tend to become less bothersome. A floater is a small clump of gel that forms in the vitreous, the clear jelly-like fluid which fills the cavity inside the eye. Floaters may be seen as dots, lines, cobwebs or spiders and are most often noticed when reading, looking at a blank wall or gazing at a clear sky: http://www.apagrafix.com/patiented/floaters/floaters.htm

I’ve had them since I was very young. I got them from staring at the sun… I know… but it is so pretty…

they haven’t gone away, but they’re not bad, I can only see them sometimes like when it’s really bright out.

I’ve had floaters since I was 29 years old. You get used to it over time, I notice the spots in my eyes every now and then when I stare at a blank wall/or I’m in the sun. I always make sure to wear sunglasses when I’m outside to prevent this. It usually happens to people when they get older so I was surprised to have them. It’s common though.
