What does taking it with “a pound of salt” mean? I really don’t get the expression lol

“Take it with a grain of salt” means you’re not sure. The guy probably changed it to “pound” b/c he really wasn’t sure.

its a pinch, a pinch of salt but yeah, the meanings the same it means that the person has a tendency to exaggerate e.g. person1: it was like ten feet long person2: really?! person3: nah, you need to take anything he (person1)says with a pinch of salt

Are you sure you don’t mean ‘taking it with a grain of salt’?

Taking it with a grain of salt basically means you don’t fully believe what you are being told…in other words ‘difficult to swallow’.
