Is it ethical for teens to become pregnant nowadays?

they need to do whatever they can to find a father or father figure but they need to choose carefully. the boyfriend might not be the best choice unless you are absolutely sure they fit for the job. plus, getta job and incourage the kids to work for things they want and they will eventually become self sufficient people. thats all the advice I can give to pregn. teens

I agree that it shouldnt be supported but at the same time teens should be allowed to be close but they should avoid a sexual relationship but if they dont they should use protection

Ethics is a hard one in this case. I suppose in general ethics boils down to “do no harm” or in the case where there is going to be harm, “do the least amount of harm possible”. In the case of teen parenting, I’d say in most cases there is likely to be harm. Either to the kid or to the parent, most likely both… This isnt true in all cases, but ethics tend to cover the rule rather than the exception… However, you also have to take into account the ability for a child to recognize the harm and I dont think most teens are able to wrap their heads around what it means to be a parent. So to answer your question, I dont know…

Go to the Love and Relationship category and see my post titled “why are teenagers not being responsible” Not so much on ethics, something I think a lot of parents aren’t teaching their children or the parents aren’t available for the kids to teach them. I agree with some who answered my post, sex is sold and glorified in every aspect of media…even shampoo commercials. Teens think its cool to have sex, give bljo, and everything else. Look at all the questions on this site and the ages…where are the parents of the kids asking these questions?
