How do get emails from FunAdvice?

How come some people get emails form FunAdvice? And what are they regarding? how do I get them?

Answer #1

There are emails for other things. Morbid has been on the site for…a month.

Users get emails when:

  • Someone has left them a profile comment
  • Someone has rated a picture
  • Someone asks them a question
  • Answers are received for their questions
  • Someone answers a question in a category they are ‘subscribed’ to.

If you aren’t getting these notifications, check in your account settings that you subscribe to them.

Go to: Edit my profile Then: -Newsletter Preferences -Manage Question Alerts -Toggle Site Notifications -Toggle Fun Mail -Toggle “Ask Me a Question” Feature

Toggle means turn on or off. Click it to turn it on if it’s off currently. As long as you have a valid email address, you should begin getting emails.

Dara (aka editor)

If you want to send a fun mail to a someone, for example send it to me. Click where it says send me funmail, see where it says answered by gidalani? Click there, it will take you to where you will send out mail. But if you want to open up your funmail, go to the top the left side corner and click on funmail, and that will take you to your mail box.

Answer #4

If your email address is NOT valid, please update it here: http://www.funadvice.com/my/profile

as if you have an invalid email on file, if you lose your password, you can’t retrieve your login credentials & you may lose your account.

Usually when they’ve abused the Terms of Service, or they get that lucky email saying that they’ve been promoted to an advisor.

Answer #6
